6/22 - Escape from the Sosie

Escape from the Sosie (6/22) - Fab. Le Blanc
FURNACE

September 20th, 1750, "Sosie" a French schooner attached to the port of Marseille in France, commanded by Captain Dubois Hallebran, sank near the îlet à Cabrit, a small uninhabited island of the archipelago of Les Saintes, south of Guadeloupe in the French Antilles.

The crew and the cargo of slaves imported from Africa, all shall perish, just one young slave girl will escape miraculously. Here is my illustration from this true story.
